As a physical art, Judo is a highly effective use of the body and spirit. Judo training is the robust and energetic practice of skills and techniques maximizing our use of our resources. But Judo is more than a recreational activity, a competitive sport or martial art; it is an approach to life that promotes tactical thinking, educates, teaches, disciplines and helps build citizens. Our success goes beyond the dojo; it extends to an individual's respect for those with whom we work, compete and play. What is taught at the dojo (training hall) and what is learned about Judo are not where Judo training stops, but where it starts.
